Our biggest event for 2004 was our 75th anniversary celebrations.  Read of this and other 2004 highlights below:
Inside the sanctuary of South London Liberal SynagogueJuly 2004 - 75th Anniversary Celebration at South London Liberal Synagogue. We celebrated the life of our late President, John Rich (z’l), when we marked our 75th anniversary over the weekend of 9-11 July 2004.  Hundreds of friends, guests and congregation members attended a special anniversary programme of events at the synagogue’s Prentis Road home in Streatham since 1938.... more

Philip - Chairman of SLLS January 2007SLLS AGM Sunday 15th January 2007- Philip W was elected Chairman,  Eve S Deputy Chairman, & Paul M Hon Secretary.  Alex C was re-elected Hon Treasurer.

Paul - on the left - with his enthusiastic gang!Feb 17th 2007 - Retired SLLS chairman Paul led the Shabbat morning service.,  This was followed by a special kiddush in his honour to thank him for 4 years of dedicated leadership of SLLS.

SLLS Torah scrollOctober 2004 - Czech Memorial Scrolls Conference and Service - On Sunday, 31st October 2004, a conference followed by a service was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the arrival in London in 1964 of 1,564 sifrei torah that were rescued from Prague. One of these, originally owned by the Jewish community of the town of Kolin in what is now the Czech Republic and who perished in the Holocaust, is on permanent loan to SLLS and is used regularly in our services. more
