Study is an important aspect of Judaism, for adults as much as children. The synagogue is called
beit ha-midrash- the House of Study.
Adult Education
We run a number of courses and events:
Toddlers at SLLS
There is a toddler group each Shabbat at 9.45 am led by one of the Religion School staff.
One Saturday of each month there is a Teddy Bear Shabbat, a special time for those aged four and under, their stuffed friends, other friends and relations, and all who are young at heart. Contact Rabbi Janet for times and details.
Group visits
We welcome pupils and their teachers from local primary and secondary schools for conducted synagogue visits. Please contact the synagogue office to make arrangements. If your school is unable to visit ,we may be able to arrange a visit to your school from a volunteer from our congregation.
Other activities
As well as providing education ourselves, we provide space for others to offer classes.
On Monday afternoons, "Fancy Footwork" offers a range of dance classes.
On Tuesday evenings there is a Yoga Class.
