Remembering
departed loved ones
is ingrained in Jewish tradition - some of us visit graves during
the High Holydays, and most of us will mark a Yarzheit with a
candle and Kaddish. When there has been a cremation it is not
unusual for a plaque naming the departed to be sited adjacent to
the crematorium. This frequently comes at a high price,
stays for a limited number of years and is seldom seen by the
relatives. South London Liberal Synagogue offers a permanent
low cost alternative through the medium of our beautiful ‘Eitz
Chayim’
(Tree of Life) Memorial.
For less than
£100 a memorial leaf engraved with the name of your loved one
can be added to the Eitz Chayim. The Eitz Chayim is itself
located prominently at the front of the Synagogue Sanctuary.
A leaf may be purchased regardless of the form of internment,
and there are no annual fees or other charges. A Memorial
leaf is permanent and the revenue raised helps fund the
ongoing work of your synagogue. To enquire further please
