 South London Rosh Chodesh Group
is for Jewish women of all denominations, religious and
non-religious. We welcome members from all local synagogues from
the Liberal, Reform and Orthodox congregations. We meet each
month in members' homes, most of whom live in South London or
Beckenham/Bromley areas. Our aim is to explore issues which are
particularly important to Jewish women, we invite speakers, have
creative activities, and most of all we have fun.
We recently held a writing workshop, a
"bring and share" evening about our favourite things and our
current activity was the beginning of a Rosh Chodesh quilt.
The quilt is made of square of fabric, individually designed by
each member and its our intention to combine the squares to make a
wall hanging for exhibiting in all our synagogue communities.
